As a synthesis scientist (UP/VE resins), you play a vital role within this company. This role involves initiating and conducting research projects for developing new UP and VE products and formulations for composite applications. It requires understanding structure-property relations and using DOEs to achieve desired product profiles. Collaboration with R&D groups, equipment design, and scaling up new products are key tasks. Additionally, promoting technologies, ensuring safety compliance, participating in Stage Gate projects, providing customer support, and managing intellectual property are essential responsibilities.

• Initiate and conduct research projects for developing new UP and VE products and formulations for composite applications;
• Understand structure-property relations and perform Design of Experiments (DOEs) to achieve desired product profiles;
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D groups to communicate test results, find solutions, and achieve objectives;
• Design and set up laboratory equipment, analyze results, and recommend actions;
• Work with operations to scale up new products from lab trials to pilot and commercial production;
• Promote UP and VE resin technologies through presentations, publications, and participation in industry events;
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and contribute to departmental safety programs;
• Participate in Stage Gate projects as a team leader or member;
• Provide technical support to customers in troubleshooting issues with varioustechnologies;
• Manage global intellectual property related to UP and VE technologies and generate new IP when applicable.
