Quantity Surveyor will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful management of construction costs, financial aspects, and contractual administration throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cost estimation, procurement, risk management, and value engineering.

• Analyze drawings and specifications provided by architects or engineers to calculate material quantities and labor costs for construction projects.
• Utilize technical measuring instruments and historical data to accurately estimate costs and prepare project budgets.
• Proactively monitor costs throughout the construction period, conducting risk analyses and ad-vising stakeholders on cost implications.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to map out project needs and fo-cus areas, providing regular progress reports.
• Assist in site preparation costs evaluation and alternative proposal recommendations.
• Prepare preliminary cost estimates, cost plans, and tender documents.
• Advise on procurement, tendering, and contractual procedures.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities or Specification documents for tendering purposes.
• Conduct monthly revisions of quantities submitted by contractors and assist in tender evalua-tions.
• Perform interim valuations of works in progress and prepare financial statements at regular in-tervals during construction.
• Assist in the settlement of final project accounts.

Additional services when required (together with Project Controls):
• Projection of estimated project or development expenditure and anticipated income cash flows.
• Evaluation of contractors registered for prequalification.
• Comparative cost studies on the economics of the project during design stage.
• Life-cycle costing and studies on economics of alternative design.
• Pricing of Bills of Quantities or negotiating and agreeing Schedule of Rates.
• Auditing of contracts and their related budgets and expenditure.

Gevraagd

• Several years of experience in a similar role as a cost controller.
• Mandatory proficiency of English, preferrable also Dutch.
• Knowledge and experience in typical building projects.
• Familiarity with design and construction phases within projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
