New Product Development Manager - Oceaneering Mobile Robotics Utrecht

As New Product Development Manager you are responsible for the New Product Development Department. This department consists of two sub departments: Vehicles and Supervisory Software. Your team of approximately 30 employees focuses on product- and software development. You manage the team and motivate, stimulate and coach them. Besides that, you are responsible for the allocation of the engineering resources and the planning of projects. Moreover, you are continuously looking for more efficiency and shortening lead time within the new product development cycle. You make sure that information is up-to-date and monthly reports are made in which the progress is monitored. You work closely with the other departments within the Product Management department including product management, research and new product introduction. In this role you are required to visit the facilities in the United States (approximately quarterly). You report directly to the Manager of Technology.

Our client, Oceaneering Mobile Robotics (140 employees), is an innovative developer and producer of logistics solutions based on autonomous mobile robotics technology (AMR). The company is part of Oceaneering International with more than 10.000 employees across the world. Oceaneering Mobile Robotics develops three types of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV). The first type is the UniMover, an underride mobile robot, which is mainly used for logistics within hospitals. The second type is the MaxMover, a large mobile forklift. This type is primarily used for the transportation of incoming goods to the warehouses. The last type is the CompactMover, which is a smaller version of the MaxMover. Different departments are located in Utrecht: R&D, Engineering, Product testing and a limited Assembly department.
