Description of the assignment:

Within the Global Spare Parts (GSP) Department, the general price of our spare parts is determined to support the customer centers around the world in pricing spare parts.

Vanderlande would like to have deeper insight in the effect of their pricing strategy on various factors, such as sales and average contribution margin. Specifically, we are interested into knowing the price elasticity of our products. The analysis needed to answer our questions is complex due to the size of our portfolio, high influence of internal and external factors and irregularities in our data. As deliverable of the project, we would like to receive clear visualizations of the results, preferable presented in a tool or dashboard that can be used for future analysis.

Department description:

You will be a part of the Spare Parts team within the Business Unit Supply. The Spare Parts department is globally responsible for marketing, procurement, sales, planning and delivery of Vanderlande material handling Spare Parts. The department consists of two teams.

Logistics, responsible for the replenishment order management and order fulfilment process of Spare Parts. You will be positioned in this department.

Parts Marketing and Sales Solutions, responsible for product management, master data, E-com and marketing, and also for package order management.

Your responsibilities

• Execute an Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) study using the available data
• Execute a trend analysis on available data
• Visualize results to communicate to stakeholders
• Create Proof of concept of a dashboard
• Provide recommendations on data improvements

Your Profile

• You have strong Data Analytical skills
• You like to work in a strategic department in an international company
• Basic knowledge of KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)
• Knowledge in Data Modeling
• Knowledge and preferable experience in Power BI or other dashboard tools
• You have excellent Dutch and English writing and verbal communication skills.
• Mandatory enrollment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands.
