Assignment
 

• BCR (baggage control room) applications, namely OPM and ODB are very complex applications which are intensively used by operators.
• BCR applications how have a hard dependency on an Oracle database which result in time consuming process to run tests.
• Many unit tests also test end to end and are working more like integration tests. The whole test suite needs to be heavily redesigned.

• The team develops software in mainlyJava and .NET.
• We work in an Agile way.
• The team consists of 9 people working in Veghel where one member works in Spain.
• The student will be in Veghel
• The assignment is an internal study to investigate and refactor the current unit tests..
   

Responsibilities
 

• Study existing software to understand the functionality and non-functional requirements like performance.
• Redesigning of the current unit test setup by removing the database dependency and integration tests.

Your Profile
 

• Knowledge of and affinity with Java 8
• Interest in robustness and reliance of applications.
• Agile way of working
• Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands.
