About the Role
As we continually upgrade our machinery, making them smarter, we're seeking software engineers to join our team located at the Wageningen University campus.

Gevraagd

As a Software Engineer, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team consisting of process and mechanical engineers, microbiologists, and water treatment experts. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing software for PLC and visualization based on provided Functional Design Specifications (FDS) from process engineers.
• Troubleshooting malfunctions in existing software.
• Translating functional descriptions into PLC, SCADA, and/or HMI applications.
• Commissioning automated machinery and controls both domestically and internationally.
• Providing comprehensive project documentation (e.g., user manuals, schedules, reports, etc.).

About You
We're searching for individuals who are not just passionate about technology, but are also driven to contribute to a more circular industry. Ideal candidates will have:

• A degree in a technical field such as electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation engineering, or IT, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• School or work experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA (such as Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley, B&R, or Beckhoff) is considered a plus.
• Proficient communication skills in English.
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset.
• A thirst for continuous learning and development.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
