An Independent Technical Steering Committee is a critical component in assessing the potential risks and issues associated with the development work at Fuenix. The group is comprised of experienced and knowledgeable individuals who are external to the day-to-day operations of the technical teams. The primary objective of the committee is to provide an unbiased, external perspective on technical decisions, challenging assumptions and ensuring the highest quality technical solutions.

Responsibilities:
1. Review/Assess Technical Decisions: A key responsibility is to review and where appropriate challenge technical decisions. This involves an examination of proposals, plans, and projects to ensure that they are as far as possible technically sound, well considered and based on sound judgement.
2. Ask Critical Questions: Group members are empowered to ask probing and critical questions about the technical solutions. This includes but is not limited to questions related to feasibility, scalability, security, compliance, and potential risks associated with the proposed solutions.
3. Independent Assessment: The group is tasked with providing an independent assessment of technical decisions. This can include recommendations based on a balanced and objective evaluation of the information presented. The committee should not be influenced by internal politics or biases.
4. Regular Meetings: Group members will participate in regular meetings (frequency to be determined) to discuss and deliberate on technical matters. These meetings serve as a forum for in-depth analysis and open discussions.
5. Documentation and Reporting: The group is responsible for documenting its findings, recommendations, and discussions. Minutes for each meeting must be generated and distributed, minute taker to be determined.
6. Advisory Role: The committee may be called upon to provide advisory input to the organization's technical leadership and senior management. This could include participation in strategy discussions, particularly when critical technical decisions have long-term implications.

Qualifications:
1. A strong background in technology, engineering, or a related field.
2. Significant experience in technical leadership, project management, or a similar capacity.
3. An ability to think critically and objectively, considering the larger context of the organization.
4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
5. Independence from any direct conflicts of interest with the organization.

Aanbod

The term of the appointment is for 1 year, renewable by mutual agreement within the last 2 months of each appointment period. It is expected that the number of meetings required will be 2-3 days in the initial stages and then a by-weekly call (1-2 hours) and monthly face-to-face meetings. (1 day)
