We are looking for a skilled network engineer who will manage the Exact networking across more than a dozen locations worldwide. You will get the opportunity to implement and maintain our LAN, WAN, firewalls, network access control devices, etc. in a way where we are secure, resilient, secure and cost effective.

You will be part of the infrastructure team that manages the entire infrastructure environment and will be expected to contribute to the maintenance of the Voice & Collaboration environment as well. The environment is highly standardized on Cisco and Fortinet technologies, with key technologies being Nexus/Catalyst switches, ISE, Umbrella and Cisco Firepower and FortiGate firewalling, also FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer, Cisco Wireless LAN Controller 9800. Can you support on-premise network to AWS & Azure cloud environments? 

Furthermore, you will play a key role in all network related activities and projects and are expected to coordinate, plan & communicate these projects. You are a person who likes to take initiative, enjoys working together and sharing knowledge and who can balance doing hands on work yourself, with working together with vendors and team members. 

Your responsibilities

• You will be part of a team, maximizing uptime, security and performance of our infrastructure services delivered to our internal clients across the globe.
• Help create technology roadmaps and plans for the network infrastructure
• Implement and change technologies within the network infrastructure
• Ensure operational maintenance & monitoring of the network infrastructure is optimal
• Support the day to day operations
• Manage and support internal stakeholders and third-party vendors and suppliers.
• Create procedures and documentation.
• Provide support & guidance for networking towards other team members 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• You are a specialist in networking, covering LAN, WAN, WLAN & firewalling.
• You are competent with OSPF & BGP
• You are an experience on multiple networking & security platforms of multiple Vendors 
• You have experience & affinity with SD-WAN (FortiGate) 
• Conceptual knowledge of next generation networking technologies, such as software defined networking
• You have basic knowledge of the AWS & Azure cloud and want to develop yourself
• You have experience & affinity with Splunk
• You are analytical, pro-active and think out of the box while providing insights on how to continuously improve the environment
• You are willing and able to support the business out of office hours when the job calls for it
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and written
• Strong project management & coordination skills
• English proficiency is a must, Dutch proficiency is a ‘plus’
