For the European Medicines Agency (EMA), we are looking for a Quality & Risk Management Officer to support the Agency’s internal control system and continuous improvement initiatives!

Wat ga je doen?

Role summary

As a Quality & Risk Management Officer, you will contribute to the effective functioning of the Agency’s internal control system. You will collect and analyse data, prepare reports for senior management, drive process improvements, and support quality and risk management activities — including business continuity planning.

Additionally, you will coordinate and support the full audit cycle, ensuring compliance, sound governance, and operational resilience across the Agency.

Standard role duties & responsibilities

  • Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Agency’s internal control system.
  • Develop and maintain performance measurements to assess and improve process efficiency (e.g., based on ISO or PDCA standards).
  • Provide advice and assistance on quality assurance and risk management activities.
  • Define and maintain a corporate-wide risk framework, monitor risks and mitigation measures, and maintain the risk register.
  • Coordinate and maintain inventories of processes related to quality, risk, and data protection.
  • Ensure timely data collection, analysis, and reporting of quality and risk indicators.
  • Support all Business Continuity Plan (BCP) activities, including the Agency’s notification system.
  • Coordinate audit preparation, support, and follow-up, including the analysis of audit recommendations and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Act as point of contact for activities related to process management, risk management, data protection, and information security.
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain fit-for-purpose processes and documentation.
Wat bieden wij?

A fulltime (40 hours per week), temporary job from 17-11-2025 until 01-03-2026 (assignment extention is possible)

Salary range:

  • 4812,17 gross per month (5 years of experience)
  • 5444,73 gross per month (5 - 17 years of experience)
  • 6970,17 gross per month (17 years of experience or more)

Wat vragen wij?

Education

  • Completed university studies of at least three years, attested by a diploma.

Experience

  • Up to three years of full-time relevant professional experience.
  • At least two years of experience in auditing, internal control, or risk management.
  • Experience in administrative support for complex procedures or coordinating large meetings.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Understanding of governance procedures and policies.
  • Knowledge of quality and risk management standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 31000.
  • Knowledge of IIA Standards and Code of Ethics and familiarity with COSO or equivalent frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) and collaborative tools.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team within an international environment.
