In this role, you will be responsible for processing quotation requests for both import and export sea shipments. You start the day with your team in a very nice and modern office! As Pricing Desk Officer you will work closely with the internal sales team, the customers, and the regional pricing department to ensure timely and accurate pricing. You will be issuing quotation for both import and export shipments. You will be fully trained by their head office. Responsibilities within your scope include:

• Process and respond to RFQ's for ocean freight (import and export) + follow-up. 
• Maintain close contact with customers, the sales team, and the regional pricing department.
• Analyze carrier rates and market conditions to develop competitive pricing.
• Enquire rates from carriers and kept them up to date in the in-house system.
• Map out the competition and provide insights.
• Understand and apply Incoterms correctly in your quotations.
• Assist with the preparation of bids and tenders.
• Address and resolve pricing-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of pricing strategies.

To qualify for the position of Pricing Desk Officer, we hope you bring the following knowledge and skills:

• 6 months to 1 year of related logistics experience or training.
• Knowledge of the global logistics.
• Understanding of the ocean documentation process is a plus.
• Basis knowldege of Incoterms. 
• Excellent communication skills in English. Any other European languages are highly valued.
• A team player with effectively communicate to obtain positive results.
• Proactive and strong organizational skills.
• Cumputer skills; Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
