As a Senior Cost Engineer – Installation Technology, you will play a key role in ensuring that technical installation projects are executed efficiently, accurately, and within budget. You will be part of a skilled and motivated engineering team, involved from the initial calculation and tender phase through to project completion. Your analytical skills and technical insight will help transform innovative designs into cost-effective, high-quality installations that contribute to a sustainable and energy-efficient future

Our team within the Sustainable Energy & Grids business unit is dedicated to the energy supply of the future. Here, the energy transition and digital transformation come together. Whether it involves integrating sustainably generated energy, implementing an Energy Management System for Smart Grids, or electrifying transport and logistics, our team of independent experts works daily to bring projects to life. Operating nationwide from our offices in Dordrecht and Zaandam, we undertake various medium- and high-voltage projects. We help clients connect battery storage systems and solar parks, transition to electric mobility, and more. Our services include consulting, design, implementation, and maintenance.

Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for technical installation projects during the tender and design phases. Analyze project specifications, drawings, and technical requirements to ensure accurate pricing and risk assessment. Visit client sites and project locations to gain insight into conditions, requirements, and potential cost influences. Develop complete cost breakdowns for materials, subcontractors, labour, and other key project components. Act as a trusted advisor to both internal teams and clients, providing cost analyses, financial advice, and project insights. Monitor project progress, identify deviations, assess financial risks, and propose corrective actions. Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and project management teams to ensure financial and technical alignment. Share knowledge, guide junior colleagues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of cost-engineering processes. You will primarily work from the office, with flexibility for remote work as needed.

• A completed MBO or HBO degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Several years of experience as a Cost Engineer or Estimator within the field of installation technology.
• Strong knowledge of electro-technical systems, standards, and project structures.
• Experience with cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control in industrial or utility projects.
• The ability to identify risks and manage financial performance proactively.
• Familiarity with standards such as NEN 3140 and NEN 1010; knowledge of ATEX environments is an advantage.
• A proactive, analytical, and structured mindset with strong communication and teamwork skills.
