As Global Tenderdesk & Major Pursuits Manager, you’ll lead high-impact, international bids and set the standard for pursuit excellence across regions. As Global tenderdesk & Major Pursuits Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in how we win our most strategic work.
You’ll lead the delivery of major (international) pursuits, ensuring our high-impact bids are positioned early, resourced effectively, and delivered to exceptional standards.

You’ll also lead and develop our global tenderdesk team, currently with core members in UK and NL, and connects with our wider tenderdesk community across APAC to LATAM, the Middle East & India, Europe (including the Netherlands), and the UK, strengthening collaboration, consistency, and capability across regions.

Working closely with the Director Growth & Marketing, you’ll also define and steer our global Way of Working (WoW), driving & embedding smarter processes, shared platforms, and best-practice collaboration between tenderdesk, Business Development, and Marketing to continually improve win rates, pursuit quality, and efficiency.

What You Will Do

• Lead, manage and develop the team (currently based primarily in UK and the Netherlands), ensuring effective collaboration, resource allocation and professional growth.
• Provide strategic leadership for major pursuits across regions, ensuring alignment, quality, and timely delivery.
• Lead and inspire a global community of tender professionals, fostering collaboration, capability, and shared standards.
• Partner with Marketing and Business Development to position our pursuits early and develop clear, competitive bid strategies.
• Define and drive the global Way of Working, embedding consistent processes, tools, and governance across tendering activity.
• Champion digital platforms, AI tools, and data-driven insights to enhance proposal quality and efficiency.
• Support and mentor regional tenderdesk leads, promoting a culture of learning, performance, and innovation. Monitor pursuit performance, analyse trends, and share insights to improve win rates and operational excellence.

This is a senior strategic role reporting directly to the Director Growth & Marketing, supporting the continued professionalisation of how Haskoning competes and wins globally in the Business Line Water & Maritime. Working under the direction of the Director, you will help shape the future of pursuit excellence, connecting an international community of professionals, embedding best practices, and driving measurable improvement in quality, efficiency, and win rates across the business line.

• Extensive experience in bid management and pursuit leadership, ideally within consultancy, professional services, or engineering.
• Proven ability to lead and develop international (and cross-regional) teams, aligning diverse cultures and time zones through collaboration and influence.
• Strong track record in developing and implementing bid strategies, working early with Marketing and BD to shape clear, client-focused proposals.
• Experience in process alignment, digitalisation, and AI integration to enhance consistency and performance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders and technical experts.
• Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline (APMP or similar accreditation desirable).
• When required, willingness to travel to connect with teams and stakeholders.
