As an Operator at Nedal Aluminium in Utrecht, you will work within the extrusion department, where aluminium is transformed into high-quality profiles used across a variety of industries. Through a process of heating and pressing aluminium through custom-made dies, strong and precise products are manufactured for sectors such as rail transport, construction, bicycle production, event structures, and grandstand systems. In this position, you will play an active role in producing innovative aluminium solutions that are used worldwide.

Wat ga je doen?
As an Operator, you play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient production process within the extrusion department. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you help produce high-quality aluminium profiles that meet strict quality standards and are used in a wide range of industries.
Your responsibilities include:

• Setting up and fine-tuning saw equipment to ensure aluminium profiles are cut accurately according to specifications.
• Operating straightening equipment to bring profiles into the correct shape and alignment.
• Inspecting finished products and carrying out quality checks on dimensions, straightness, and any visible imperfections.
• Installing and changing dies while working closely with the Press Operator to keep production running efficiently.

Working hours
You will start in a two-shift schedule:

• 06:30 to 15:00
• 14:30 to 23:30

After your onboarding period, you will transition to a three-shift rotation:

• 07:00 to 15:00
• 15:00 to 23:00
• 23:00 to 07:00

Do you travel by public transport? We are happy to help find a suitable travel solution. Shift schedules are communicated well in advance, and where possible, you will have the flexibility to swap shifts with colleagues when needed.

Jouw kwaliteiten
What we are looking for:

• You have a good command of Dutch and/or English, enabling you to communicate clearly and work safely within a production team.
• You have an interest in technology and have gained technical knowledge through education, training, or hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Possession of certificates such as Forklift, Reach Truck, VCA, or Safe Lifting is considered a plus. If you do not yet hold these qualifications, you are motivated to obtain them through company-supported training.
• You enjoy working in an industrial environment and are comfortable around machinery, production processes, and varying workplace temperatures.
• You are proactive, quality-conscious, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
