AI Engineer - Early Stage Startup

An Amsterdam-based AI startup is looking for a Founding AI Engineer to help build AI-native software and agentic workflows that automate real operational processes. You’ll work directly with the founders and customers on production-grade AI applications within a highly technical early-stage environment.

This early-stage startup is building next-generation software products using modern engineering practices and AI-driven technologies.

The company is currently expanding its first engineering team and offers a highly hands-on environment with direct collaboration alongside the founders. Engineers have strong influence on architecture, product direction and technical decision-making.

As a Founding AI Engineer, you will help design and build scalable software systems and modern applications within an early-stage product environment.

You’ll work closely with the founders on technical architecture, product development and engineering challenges across the platform.

Responsibilities include:

• Building scalable software applications
• Developing backend systems and APIs
• Working with modern development tooling
• Designing integrations and technical solutions
