Buyer - Dutch & English

Our client is a leading Dutch organisation providing specialised care, education, and participation support to children, young people, and adults with complex needs.

They are currently looking for a Buyer to join their team in Sittard or Breda.

In this role, you will be responsible for guiding and executing purchasing and tendering processes. You will translate the needs of internal stakeholders into appropriate purchasing strategies and ensure optimal contracts with suppliers.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Identify the needs of internal stakeholders, such as managers and budget holders, and translate these into appropriate purchasing strategies
• Develop an annual purchasing plan and procurement calendar, and independently execute purchasing and European tendering processes
• Guide procurement processes and project teams, ensuring that procurement activities run smoothly, and contribute to drafting tender documents and contracts
• Structure and support contract management processes and supplier evaluations
• Prepare and conduct negotiations with existing and potential suppliers
• Prepare management reports and monitor market developments, translating these into relevant opportunities for the organisation
• Contribute to organisation-wide projects and the further professionalisation of the procurement function

Candidate Profile for Buyer

• Must be fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Purchasing, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience within procurement
• Good knowledge of relevant products, services, and market developments
• Experience with tactical purchasing
• Strong ability to work independently, combined with a flexible and reflective approach
• Proactive attitude towards personal and team development

• Home office equipment allowance of up to €750 including VAT per five calendar years
