Are you ready to shape the future of sustainable mobility at PACCAR Global Engines as a Powertrain Attribute Engineer? In this role, you define technical requirements and engine performance concepts to meet international emission standards.
As a Powertrain Attribute Engineer at PACCAR Global Engines, you work at the heart of state-of-the-art powertrain development. Within the System Definition group, you turn vehicle requirements and future emissions legislation into clear technical specifications for next-generation engines. You collaborate closely with cross-functional development teams, project managers, and property owners to ensure full traceability and high product quality.
Your key responsibilities as Powertrain Attribute Engineer include:
- Analyzing key performance elements like fuel economy, emissions, NVH, startability, and heat rejection
- Assessing the technical impact of changing engine and vehicle hardware alongside regulatory updates
- Translating customer requirements from vehicle divisions into high-level product description books
- Managing stakeholder milestones for property delivery and maintaining strict requirement traceability
- Supporting failure investigations and scope request updates across the development organization

Functie-eisenYou will be successful as Powertrain Attribute Engineer with:
- Master's degree in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in engine performance development and engine testing
- Proven knowledge of engine combustion, turbocharging, or VECTO | GEM standards
- Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written
