Our client is dairy cooperative with international presence, formed by dairy farmers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The company has a large product range including milk, yoghurts, baby and infant nutrition, cheese, butter etc.

Role Description
As a Global Procurement Director, you will be responsible for all the procurement spend of the Business Groups Europe and Retail & Americas. Your goal is to achieve the best procurement performance based on savings and added values.

Responsibilities
 – Responsible for translating Business demand and priorities into procurement actions and translate procurement programs, and strategies back into business.
– Manage the financial be the budgeting, process owner and deliver on local targets.
– Ensure translation of commodity price variations into cost prices.
– Collaborate with cross-function teams to understand business requirements.
-Identify people and organizational requirements to enable achievement of short to medium term business plan results.

Requirements
– Extensive international procurement leadership experience, ideally gained in the areas of business/regional procurement as well as category procurement.
– Experience with and knowledge of regulations and market specifics across a large variety of European countries, where NL, BE, GER.  
– Financial understanding on P&L and Working Capital, understanding the impact of own actions and market developments on these.
– Ability to give a clear financial picture vs budget, risks & opportunities and articulate and execute mitigation plans
