As a Business Analyst for Controlling at ABN AMRO, you do functional analyses and design reports regarding Finance data, focus on the financial management information. You translate wishes from Controllers, CFOs, and MT members in the business lines to concrete requirements and pragmatic solutions enabling your team’s IT colleagues to implement them. After that, you can implement the required reports together with other team members. You continuously test if the developed items are matching all defined requirements. Next to that, you look for ways to improve the existing applications, reports, and the processes continuously. Innovating, advising, improving, analysing, and implementing are your daily business. 

One of your primary goals is to ensure the timely delivery of monthly financial reports to the controllers and CFO’s, to ensure that they can do their jobs. As a team, you are responsible to make this process as efficient as possible, via automation and standardisation for instance. Next to that, you design Power BI reports and dashboards which include important steering information for achieving the bank’s strategic, tactic, and operational goals to be used further by the management teams, Controllers, CFO’s, Executive board, and other stakeholders. Together with the Business Control, Financial Control, and the Grid you take the end-to-end responsibility for these processes.

• You have at least a bachelor’s degree level of working and thinking 
• You have 0-3 years work experience in the field of data- and change management, preferably within Finance 
• You are experienced in creating management reports and are skilled to use and develop BI tooling. Certified as a Power BI developer is a plus, as well as experience with financial reports 
• You have proven experience in end-to-end project implementation as a data/functional analyst 
• You are focused on collaboration with multiple stakeholders and departments. You can translate stakeholder requirements into a functional design and explain it to IT developers 
• You have affinity with SQL programming language 
• You embrace the Scrum Agile way of working, are able to switch fast, and have a hands-on mentality 
• You have proper communication skills in English, both orally and in writing 
• A proper understanding of Finance/Controlling processes and IT is a plus 

Traineeship via Finance Club 
For a whole year you will learn not only on the job but also through additional training sessions and courses facilitated entirely by the Finance Club. These include training sessions to further develop your substantive knowledge and also focus on soft skills development. Think of training in areas such as data, banking, planning and agenda management, stakeholder management and more. In consultation with you, our happy manager and your manager at ABN AMRO,we will tailor the optimal curriculum for you.

Salary: €3.500 per month
