Are you an experienced analyst with a background in international finance who is looking for a challenging new role within an international company with a family-run structure?
Our client is a Dutch import-export company that specializes in non-food items. As one of the largest importers in Europe, they supply consumer products to retailers such as supermarkets, hardware stores, garden centers, department stores and international companies. With a headquarters in Amsterdam, they are supported by offices in 24 countries and six continents.
With a fully automated distribution center and a product range of over 30,000 items, they have come a long way from their humble beginnings. Although they have grown exponentially in size, the wellbeing and growth of their employees remains a top priority.
In order to succeed in a continuously changing world, our client requires deep insight into all aspects of its business process. You collect the necessary data from various channels and from various data sources, and then you extract the most important elements and insights from this (unstructured) data to support operational management and decision-making. You create ad hoc analyzes and operational (management) reports that are required for each department.
As a Business Analyst in the International Controlling department, you work with various departments, such as Finance, Sales & Marketing and Production. This is a unique position to get to know, understand, and support our client in all its facets.
What you’ll do:

• Help set up structures and support the optimization of (data) analyses. This both financially and operationally
• Take responsibility for various daily and periodic operational business analyses;
• Collect the right data – this varies from logistics, purchasing, sales or otherwise – which you analyze and report the necessary control data and share insights;
• Play an important role in further expanding and defining data and business analysis, and you grow along with all the opportunities and responsibilities that go with it
• Help set up and improve data files and models, and provide data and input for forecasts;
• Contribute to improving and expanding internal processes, the ERP system (SAP), reports and tooling.
