Our client, a leading player in the field of cell therapy, operates the Cell Therapy Amsterdam (CTA) Site, an integral part of a global phramaceutical R&D network. Dedicated to advancing cell therapeutics for oncology, the CTA Site focuses on researching and innovating natural killer (NK) cell therapies. The site’s mission is to contribute continuously to our client’s Oncology pipeline through both research and CMC paths.

About the Position:
We are currently seeking a Capital Projects and Facility Operations Manager for our client’s CTA Site in Amsterdam. This pivotal role involves overseeing best-in-class maintenance, Capex, and project management activities. Reporting directly to the head of Safety, Engineering, Maintenance, Facilities, and Validation, you will lead and represent the team during their absence.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee reliable maintenance for laboratory and production assets.

• Manage maintenance budgeting and drive continuous improvements for efficiency.

• Lead the team to ensure flawless technical operations.

• Advise on capital investments and initiate/executive projects.

• Manage yearly Capex budget and oversee project teams.

• Interact with staff, colleagues, and liaise with Sanofi offices and external parties.

• Determine strategy for maintenance and projects.

• Manage resources to meet compliance and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or constructions.

• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.

• 10-15 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.

• Knowledge of Lean, preferably green belt certified.

• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability in cost-effective execution of maintenance and project activities.

• Business expertise in delivering solutions and impact.
