Global Product Owner Price & Discount Management

The product owner is responsible for the end-to-end ownership, delivery, and performance of HEINEKENs Pricing maintenance product. He or she owns the product vision and definition of the product. The product owner represents the voice of the customer and is responsible to ensure alignment with all relevant stakeholders. The product owner creates, maintains, and prioritizes the product backlog providing the team with required information on what needs to be delivered and in which order. This is based on value, agreed roadmap or customer pain points. In this role you will report to the Global Process Lead Order to Cash.

Your responsibilities

As a Global Product Owner Price & Discount Management you are responsible for:

  • The success of the global pricing maintenance product and secure that the product strategy is in line with the department’s strategy and focus.
  • Owns the product roadmap and backlog, makes sure of maximum value delivery, and has final say in prioritisation of user stories.
  • Manage the product budget in very tight collaboration with IT. Represents the end user and decides the order in which content is delivered with input from the team; based on value delivered.
  • Drives product deployment through delivery organisations, e.g., programme/project teams. Takes a quality assurance role towards programme/projects deployments.
  • Ensures end-to-end process and technology integration through collaboration with other global functions, by working closely together with other global product owners and stakeholders from Business and IT.
  • Scan the market for new developments and initiate product innovations.
  • Drives product marketing and communication, actively promotes the product to enhance value delivery. Leads day-to-day management of vendor.

Your profile

To be successful in this opportunity we expect you to have:

  • Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in business / IT. Has or is willing to be product owner certified.
  • 8-10 years demonstrated experience in transactional pricing, discount & promotion processes, specifically price maintenance, trade term structures, trade promotion management, rebates, accruals, and rebate settlement. Deep understanding of the pricing process in FMCG industry. Exposure to cross-functional and complex international environment.
  • Understanding of the Market-to-Cash process and the associated risks.
  • Process (end-to-end) oriented thinking, combination of analytical and conceptual thinking. Knowledge and experience of Continuous Process Improvement (TPM/Lean/Six Sigma), Project Management methodologies and Agile ways of working.
  • English language skills (excellent verbal and written skills).
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships, addressing conflicting priorities, ensuring tactical alignment. Working with and integrating broad areas within global finance and other global functions. Ability to switch between detail and helicopter view.
  • Has a deep understanding of the business and the importance of creating value for the business and the customer, but also about architecture frameworks.
  • Able to connect IT & business and with multiple key stakeholders at various levels.
