Super Circle Business Lending wants to help realize the goals and dreams of entrepreneurs active in the SME sector. As an Audit Specialist Quality Assurance you are part of a small team of specialists within the Center of Expertise. You and your team play a crucial role in ensuring and improving the quality of the products and our services in the field of business lending within the Super Circle Business Lending. You perform checks on the various processes, output checks on the work of all CLTs and you identify possible directions for improvement.

The team

The CLTs each consist of a maximum of 11 CLT Members. The team as a whole is responsible for ensuring that customer inquiries and requests for corporate lending that come in by phone, chat, MING-Z or email are handled from A to Z and exceedingly excellent. Or that a proper risk assessment is made when financing business customers, any changes are implemented and discussed with the customer. Here it is important that customer contact runs smoothly, that everything is administratively processed correctly in systems and that requests are followed up in accordance with policy and taking into account relevant laws and regulations. Providing insight into and guaranteeing quality, continuous improvement of processes, risk management and accountability to internal and external stakeholders are essential. Your team plays a key role in this.

Super Circle Business Lending is located in Amsterdam. The Super Circle consists of six Circles, each with their own specialty. Several self-managing Customer Loyalty Teams (CLTs) are active within each Circle. You are part of the Quality Assurance team within the Circle Center of Expertise.

Roles and responsibilities

In your position it is very important that you work very accurately and in a structured way, that you actively look for the cause of problems, show your initiative to realize improvements and that you address colleagues in a good way about the quality of the work delivered. You always think from the customer's point of view and do everything you can to help your colleagues within the CLTs to provide the best possible service to business customers of the Super Circle. It is important here that you are not only focused on control, but also on preventing errors.

  • You randomly check the output of CLT Members and record the findings
  • You analyze root causes and you discuss this with the employees
  • You do this constructively, without shying away from addressing quality. With this you help the circles to achieve a high-quality performance for all our business customers and that risks for ING are minimized, both in the financial and non-financial risk area
  • You provide feedback to the responsible CLT Member, the management or the process owners that you notice. The main goal is to further improve the quality of business loans, the quality of the underlying processes and the output of our colleagues in the future

At the same time, you and your team make the transition from manual sampling to data-driven insights with the aim of gaining 100% insight into the manual output of the risk components of a process. With this, inaccuracies can be quickly repaired so that this output corresponds with the agreements with the customer and the policy of ING. The insight from these 100% checks is also analyzed and any points for improvement are shared with the Leads and the Tribes.

In addition, you have an important role in raising awareness among CLT members and the CLT lead that quality is important. You take the initiative and you are given the space to develop your own ideas. Think of providing insight through data, giving workshops and conducting conversations about quality in a positively critical manner. You actually help your colleagues to get better, for example in knowledge of risks and their impact. Managing and reporting data quality issues is also part of the work.

What exactly does this ask of me?

For starters, you are very good at working with people, both within your team and with other colleagues inside and outside the Super Circle. It is important that you are able to give good feedback to others, that you are able to positively influence others, but also that you can handle the feedback you receive yourself. You are also aware that taking out business credits means a long-term financial obligation between the customer and ING and that it is therefore crucial to work very accurately and in a structured manner in accordance with the policy and work instructions. In addition, you are very critical of points for improvement in processes, you would like to find out the cause of problems and you proactively take the right action. You are independent in the formation of opinions and you like to work on the basis of facts, not assumptions. But above all, you take customer needs as the starting point in everything and your main aim is to provide the services of the Super Circle to business customers according to the highest quality standards.

How to succeed

You are demonstrably capable of linking operational, policy, process and system errors/deficiencies and the resulting risks for the customer and for ING. You have in-depth and broad knowledge of business loans and of the management and application processes (from customer demand to data delivery) is an advantage. Is a real connector and takes initiative and responsibility when the situation calls for it.

Futhermore, you:

  • Have aBachelor or Master'sdegree, with relevant work experience in a (complex) Agile work environment
  • Have affinity with data and wants to participate in the next step to work more with data-driven insights;
  • Have affinity with Quality and Risk Management;
  • Are able to fill in during peak loads or incidents and to participate in various CLTs
  • Possess excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Havecurrent residency in the Netherlandsand arefluent in the Dutch and Englishlanguage (C1/C2)
  • Like to give workshops or presentations and convey the importance of quality;
