Our client, a leading company specializing in vaccines and medicines for animals, has 75 years of expertise in research and development, focusing on preventing infections in companion and livestock animals. Our client also serves as the Dutch sales office, emphasizing its commitment to improving animal health globally.

Role Description:
As a Laboratory Scientist, your main role is to drive the advancement of our product formulations and production processes. This involves independently designing and conducting experiments, refining analytical methods, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. Your expertise in freeze-drying of finished products, along with either bacterial fermentation or virus/cell culture, is crucial to the position.

Responsibilities:

• Perform experiments, analyze data, and refine production processes, with a focus on freeze-drying cycles.
• Develop freeze-dried products and corresponding formulations.
• Utilize analytical methods such as DSC and freeze dry microscopy to support formulation and production development.
• Document experiments, write protocols, and generate reports.
• Assist with equipment introduction, qualification, maintenance, and procedural documentation.
• Engage in team discussions, provide project input, and offer a fresh perspective.
• Progress from onboarding to independent task performance, with the potential for additional responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Hold a degree in Life Sciences, Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, or related fields.
• Desire is a role that encourages initiative.
• Proficient in either Dutch or English.
