At TMC Data Science we are expanding our team in the field of optics as we are specializing in cutting-edge optical technologies. We are currently seeking a talented Lead Data Specialist to join our innovative team and drive the development for one of our customer in the food industry. Our customer has made it their mission to establish sustainable protein chains with attention to planet and animal wellbeing.

• Guide a team of three data specialists within the innovation hub, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to maximize their potential.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions tailored to the needs of our client, a prominent player in the food industry.
• Utilize your expertise in data engineering and general data science to architect and build scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that meet the unique challenges and objectives of the business.
• Translate business requirements into actionable insights, leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to drive innovation and drive business value.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously enhancing our capabilities and driving innovation within the context of our client's business environment.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data science projects, with a focus on data engineering
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, along with experience in SQL and database technologies.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a team to achieve excellence.
• Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, with a track record of delivering impactful solutions.
