Within the team of DAF, we are currently looking for Mig-mag welders! At DAF Trucks in the metal factory, metal parts are produced for the trucks. As a welder you are in charge of making these parts. You are going to work with technical drawings and welding robots and welding by hand.

who are you

You can not just become a welder at DAF Trucks. Therefore you need the right diplomas (MIG/MAG level 1 and/or 2) to do this function. You also need to be able to work in three shifts. The morning shift is: 07.00 - 15.30hr; The evening shift is: 15.30 - 00.00hr and the night shift is: 00.00-07.00hr.

• MIG/MAG level 1 or 2 Certificate
• Experience with welding (by hand or with robots)
• Available in 3 shifts

what will you do

Within the welding department in DAF there are a lot of different parts of the DAF truck that need to be welded. Most of this welding is done by welding robots. As an operator of these robots you need to set up the robot in the correct way following the technical drawings. You are also responsible for doing the quality check to make sure we reach the quality standards within DAF. For instance, checking and repairing welds by hand to ensure the safety and quality of the truck.

where will you work

Within the welding group of DAF you are working in a technical environment. Together with your team you are responsible for the quality of the truck parts and are continuously improving the products. The welding group also needs to make enough parts for all the trucks. That is why this department also is production minded.
