Operator Setting Machine Eygelshoven

Originally located in Eygelshoven, the brickworks was established in the mid-1960s by the local mine Julia, Laura & Vereeniging. For the past 50 years, the former brickworks has produced, among other things, facing bricks and interior wall bricks. Production ceased in 2009.

After years of stagnation, an overhaul of the factory started a few years ago. While retaining its nostalgic values, the brickworks has been completely converted into a factory that makes facing bricks from waste streams: the circular brick. During this quarter, the brickworks will be put back into operation with an experienced permanent core expanded by a dynamic team of enthusiastic employees.

This year, work is (still) in day shift. The intention is to work in a two-shift system from next year.

Place in the organisation:
The brewing machine operator works within Steenfabriek Parkstad and reports to the team leader.

Job objective:
As Operator setting machine, you will be responsible for the process of unloading the dryers after the dryer and loading the tunnel oven trolleys via the setting machine and stacking robot. You are also responsible for visually checking the supplied empty tunnel oven trolleys.

• control supply of dried stone
• checking the quality of the drylings
• checking the accuracy and stability of stacking packages
• monitoring production progress
• identifying faults and independently carrying out minor repair and maintenance work on machines
• able to switch independently between the different types of brewing patterns according to production planning

Responsibilities:
Independently operating the unloading station, setting machine and stacking robot. In case of breakdowns and/or quality deviations, implementing adjustments in process after consultation with supervisor.

Skills:

• Experience as an operator, preferably in the process or ceramics industry
• MBO working and thinking level, preferably in possession of a Vapro-A or Vapro-B diploma
• Technical insight
• Able to work independently and in (small) teams
• Pro-active

Other

Good command of the Dutch language.
Have the willingness to work weekend on-call shifts in rotation to check that the stock of manufactured bricks comes out of the kiln correctly
