Our client is looking for candidates to join with a growing busy freight forwarding company based in Nieuw-Vennep, specialized in shipping pharmaceuticals and related products.
Established back in 1986, our client is licensed by the Dutch health regulator, Farmatec, and is involved in all aspects of logistics for the pharmaceutical industry. With sites at both London Heathrow and Amsterdam, the company is involved in clinical trials, handling R&D material consignments, shipping active ingredients, controlling finished product movements, storing medicines for pick and pack, to being involved in high value-controlled drug shipments, and generally involved in multiple parts of the pharma industry.

Shipments move via a mix of airfreight and our own temperature-controlled vehicles, many using specialist temperature-controlled packaging to ensure the correct temperature conditions are maintained during transit. Our procedures are designed to ensure the characteristics of the products we handle are not changed by the conditions they are exposed to during transit, e.g., extreme temperatures.

Key tasks include:

• Carry out general tasks in the freezer farm area for M2P;
• Receiving freight into the freezer farm, and booking in as per the procedural requirements;
• Despatching freight from the freezer farm as per the procedural requirements;
• Working in compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) at all times;
• Working in compliance with the Health & Safety policy and regulations of the Company;
• Working in compliance with the Quality System and its procedures;
• Working in compliance with the Aviation Security policy of the Company;
• Packing up products for despatch using standard and temperature-controlled packaging Solutions;
• Working with dry ice and other coolants;
• Pick and pack operations for clients;
• Managing the stock receipts and despatches physically, and within the warehouse management system;
• Cleaning down of reusable packaging upon its return;
• Disposal of used packaging into recycling;
• Taking the lead in the administration of the freezer farm area and its processes;
• Answering e-mails and communications from various parties as and when required;
• Answering telephone enquiries from various parties as and when required;
• Keeping the freezer farm area clean, free from dust and dirt;
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance of the temperature zones of the freezer farm and
fridge and freezer units;
• Liaising with the operations and transport teams in the Company, to ensure collections and deliveries are made on time;
• Ensuring the day’s work has all been completed - or set in place to be completed –
before you finish for the day;
• Dealing with all drivers and critical partners coming to the freezer farm area;
• Take responsibility and be accountable for all operations taking place within the freezer farm operation;
• Keep the management team updated with issues in the freezer farm area, and things
which need to be addressed.
