Norit is a global player in the ''Activated Carbon'' market and produces various grades of activated carbon in powder form that find its way into pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food and purification (gas or liquid) applications. Without knowing it, you have undoubtedly used our product (in)directly. In Klazienaveen, raw materials of natural origin (e.g. peat and coconut shells) are converted, with the help of steam, into activated carbon. After various processes, the final end product is sent to our customers by tanker, big bags or valve bags.

Purpose of the position
As an All-round Process Operator, you ensure that the production process and utilities run smoothly every day. With your technical knowledge and communication skills, you will manage the production process (activation, grinding and purification) and quickly solve simple malfunctions together with your team. The position is in the 5 shifts (continuous shift).

What are you going to do?

• Commissioning and dismantling the installations by operating the panels and terminals in the control room;
• Securing installations via LoToTo;
• Monitoring process progress and production planning;
• Proposing proposals for improvement;
• Controlling and adjusting the production process (activation, grinding and purification);
• Warning the shift manager in the event of major malfunctions and process deviations and taking the necessary precautions;
• Compliance with operating, quality and safety regulations;
• Registering process, production and forwarding data and processing it in the computer system.

Are you the right candidate?

• You have at least a VAPRO B or an equivalent MBO education;
• You are a team player and have good social and communication skills;
• You have relevant work experience, you work very accurately;
• Emergency response, forklift and NEN3140 are a plus;
• You have a good knowledge of the Dutch and English language.
• You want to develop yourself further.

• Your own collective labour agreement with a competitive salary of 3000 to 4000 euros/gross;
• (Five) shift allowance of 29.5% on top of the gross monthly salary;
• Holiday allowance of 8% and a 13th month;
• A one-year contract with the prospect of permanent employment.
