Wat ga je doen?

We're seeking a technically skilled operator with expertise in computers and robotics. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining advanced robotic machinery that elevates this company's production to a new level. Do you have technical insight and a passion for robotics? Then we'd like to talk to you.

The company recently invested in an automated installation for manufacturing floor grates, and they are looking for a smart operator who can operate this machine and isn't afraid to make corrections. Currently, this is the only machine of its kind, but they expect to acquire more similar equipment soon.

As an Operator, you will operate this machine line and run the programs created by the production planning team. You ensure these machines run smoothly. You handle materials to and from the machine, and you check the quality and quantity of the materials. The programs may not always work perfectly, and that's where you come in as an operator. On the production floor, you identify discrepancies and correct them yourself. Then you adjust the machines (digitally) to ensure the processes are carried out on the product. It's a complex machine, so you need to be confident in your abilities. This position is distinct from a production worker or production operator role.

Your responsibilities:

  • Operating robotic machines according to prescribed procedures and guidelines;
  • Checking settings and making adjustments as needed;
  • Resolving minor technical issues and malfunctions with the machines;
  • Performing regular and preventive maintenance;
  • Participating in training programs to expand your knowledge of the robotic machines.

Training is provided for this role, as our machines are complex and advanced. This offers a long-term growth path within our company. If you're interested in working with the latest technology, we look forward to receiving your application!

Waar ga je werken?

Our client is a leading international manufacturer of high-quality, innovative lightweight metal grates. With locations in the Netherlands, Belgium, England, Germany, and Poland, they are part of ROTO, a large group of specialized companies in steel, steel processing, grating technology, surface treatment, and zinc recycling. This family-owned business is known for its financial stability and reliability, with a culture where promises are kept.

At this company, employees are given ample opportunities to develop, thanks to a comprehensive onboarding and training program along with various internal training options. The workplace has an informal atmosphere with short lines of communication, fostering a collaborative environment. Innovation and sustainability are key pillars of the company's culture.

The company is easily accessible from Venlo, Roermond, Swalmen, Kessel, and Peel en Maas. You can get there conveniently by car, bicycle, or public transport.

Wie ben je?
  • You have a VAPRO-B level or a technical MBO education; a certificate is not required, but motivation and a willingness to learn are;
  • You truly have a passion for robotics and computers; without this, the role might not be a good fit;
  • You're eager to learn and willing to undergo about 6 months of training to operate the machines, and approximately 3 months for end-result quality control and routine and periodic maintenance;
  • Preferably, you have knowledge of Safan and Fanuc, but it's not mandatory;
  • You speak either Dutch or English.
Wat mag je verwachten?
  • A starting salary of around €2,800 per month, excluding a 14% shift premium on all hours worked—does this sound like a good fit for you? Let's discuss the details;
  • You'll work full-time in a two-shift system from Monday through Friday;
  • Travel reimbursement for commuting to and from work;
  • As long as you're on a temporary contract, you'll accrue 25 vacation days and 8.33% vacation pay;
  • You'll participate in the StiPP Pension Fund through Olympia, then transition to the client's pension plan;
  • You'll start on a temporary contract, but if both parties are satisfied, there's the potential to offer you a permanent position earlier;
  • Once you're hired permanently, you'll be covered under the favorable Metalektro CAO (Collective Labor Agreement), with 27 vacation days, 13 compensatory leave days, and many other benefits;
  • You'll be working with new technology and receive comprehensive training.
