In this position, you will work within the technical department, being responsible for the coordination of maintenance and repair of the vessels. You will be responsible for ensuring vessels are maintained in a safe and seaworthy condition in accordance with the requirements/instructions issued by the client.

Specific tasks in this function are:

• Drawing up and implementing maintenance plans. Monitoring relevant developments in specialist attention field.
• Responsible for technical management of assigned container vessels including inspections, repairs, maintenance, and dry docking.
• Liaise with vessel crews to ensure smooth communication and coordination of vessel maintenance and repairs.
• Support Root cause analysis/Investigation for technical failures.
• Manage and oversee contractors and service providers involved in vessel maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
• Manage budgets and expenses related to vessel maintenance and repairs.
• Continuously monitor vessel performance and provide recommendations to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.

We are looking for a Technical Superintendent with the following skills:

• BSc shipbuilding, mechanical engineering or naval architecture.
• Maritime professional with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Flexible to travel.
