Do you have a passion for food and marketing? Do you know your way around WeChat in terms of communication and marketing? Do you like to delve into different food cultures and can't wait to get started with setting up campaigns for our brands? Read on!

Our client is a leading international wholesaler specialising in the import and distribution of brand-name food products from Asia, India, Africa, and the Middle East to almost all of Europe. Their core business revolves around being a total supplier of Asian, African, and Indian foodstuffs, serving a diverse client base that includes ethnic shops, wholesalers, food service companies, supermarket chains, and ecommerce platforms.

At the moment, they are looking for a hands-on Mandarin-speaking marketer to help them with their China division. As a marketer, you implement the marketing strategies for our customers in the ethnic channel, or the Toko. Our customers are located all over Europe. You will also visit them regularly to steer the in-store campaigns in the right direction. As a marketer, you are responsible for the brand growth of a broad portfolio. And you will work closely with our sales departments and the team of brand managers. Apart from that, it’s also important that you are very familiar with WeChat and you understand how WeChat subscriptions and WeChat channels work to achieve the best outcome in terms of brand awareness and marketing.

You will be involved in:

• Translating the plans of the brand managers within the relevant sales division
• Performing 'below the line marketing' tailored to the needs of our customers
• Mapping the wishes and needs of the customers within the division
• Strengthen the brand position within the divisions by deploying the right promotion mechanisms and marketing strategies
• Executing and monitoring customer-specific promotions
• Creating and managing POS materials with the right brand identity
• Making our promotion plans scalable
• The use of WeChat in the marketing strategies and promotion plans

What we ask from you:

• Mastery of Mandarin in speech and writing
• Proficiency in the English and Dutch language, both verbally and in writing
• At least a completed bachelor degree in a commercial field
• Two years of work experience in any marketing position
• Marketing experience in the FMCG industry is an advantage
• You are organisationally and analytically strong, creative and flexible
