As an Embedded Software Developer, you build the smart technology found in our products. Software that our customers don't see, but use every day. From smart meters to plugged-in home batteries. You ensure that everything runs smoothly, is secure, and does exactly what it is supposed to do. You work on the firmware of our IoT devices, focusing on energy-efficient operation and smart features. In doing so, you align the software with the product, customer needs, and our cloud. Together with your hardware and firmware colleagues, you form a close-knit team. Thanks to you, our products are just as strong on the inside as they are on the outside.
Technical innovation requires smart solutions. Think of developing complex algorithms for controlling IoT devices and integrating robust cybersecurity measures. Quality takes priority in this process. With unit tests and behavior-driven testing, you ensure that our software is stable and reliable, and naturally, of the highest standard.
What do we ask:
You have at least 3 years of experience with embedded software and a passion for smart, sustainable technology. You enjoy working independently, are analytical, communicate easily, and feel at home in an agile team.
- Minimum higher professional education working and thinking level;
- Experience with C, C++, RTOS (such as FreeRTOS or Mbed OS) and preferably ESP32;
- Familiar with hardware, datasheets, and energy-efficient solutions;
- Knowledge of MQTT, REST, and connecting devices to the cloud;
- Git and test automation (such as Unity or Robot Framework) are not new to you.
- Dutch level minimum B1
