Rotterdam · Hybrid · Full-time
Wellis is a fast-growing healthtech scale-up reinventing healthcare. We are building the first truly integrated health platform in the Netherlands, offering on-demand care for everyday health needs such as weight loss, hair loss, sexual health, and more. Our platform covers the full journey: from diagnosis and medical assessment to prescription and delivery at home. By combining medical expertise, technology, and data, we make healthcare smarter, more accessible, more personal, and easier to use. We are growing quickly, which means we are building the structures, teams, products, and processes that will help us scale responsibly. You will join an ambitious, international team where ownership is encouraged, collaboration is key, and impact is visible from day one.
The roleYou'll join our Web/App design chapter to shape how thousands of patients experience Wellis, from the first landing page to long-term treatment in our app. This is a hands-on B2C role with real ownership: you'll take problems from research to shipped UI, and you'll have wide scope to shape the art direction of our app.
We work AI-first. Research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, component work and design-to-code all run through tools like Claude, Figma MCP and Cursor.
What you'll doOwn product flows end to end across web and app. You'll frame the problem, join discovery, research, design, test and keep iterating on what ships.
Talk to customers regularly. You'll run interviews and usability tests and turn what you learn into product decisions that improve conversion, retention and trust.
Tell stories through the product. Design experiences that guide customers through their health journey and make complex medical information feel simple, human and engaging.
Bring gamification into the app: progress, milestones, rewards and the small moments of delight that keep people coming back and sticking with their treatment.
Set the art direction for the Wellis app and build a distinct design language that people recognise as Wellis at a glance.
Design high-quality UI with strong motion and interaction, so the product feels alive rather than static.
Extend and document our design system so the whole team can build on it.
Work closely with product and engineering, using end-to-end AI workflows to get from idea to production fast.
Non-negotiables
B2C experience. You've designed consumer products used by real people at scale.
Product thinking. You start from the user problem and the business goal, not the screen, and you can explain the why behind every decision.
Ownership. You don't wait to be handed work. You spot problems, propose what to do and drive it to done, and you lead design even when nobody asked you to.
What else we're looking for
A strongly agentic, AI-first mindset. You use AI tools and agents end to end to research, explore, prototype and ship, and you're curious, experimental and not precious about tools.
Visual storytelling and art direction. You have the confidence to set a visual direction, not just follow one.
Strong motion skills. Your portfolio shows polish, animation and interaction detail.
Experience with gamification or engagement design in consumer products.
Strong UX thinking with hands-on research experience: interviews, usability testing and synthesis.
Comfort working directly with customers and joining discovery early, before anything is defined.
Leadership qualities. You raise the bar for design across the team and help others see what good looks like.
Bonus: other creative pursuits, such as illustration, photography, film, music or 3D. Tell us about them, because they shape how you design.3-5 years in UX/UI for digital products across web and mobile, with strong Figma skills.
€3,500-€5,500 gross per month, depending on experience.
Pension plan, learning budget and a monthly personal budget (Alleo).
Hybrid working: 2 days a week in our central Rotterdam office, 20 fully remote days a year and a work-from-home allowance.
Short lines, fast decisions and visible impact in a growing scale-up.
Free lunch in our office.
NS Business Card or kilometer allowance.
