Job Description

As a Research & Development (R&D) Engineer at JIACO Instruments, you are at the heart of our innovation engine, tasked with developing groundbreaking technologies that redefine the semiconductor industry. This role is designed for those who are not just seekers of new solutions but creators of market movements. Under the visionary guidance of our CTO, Jiaqi, you will embark on a journey of discovery, innovation, and impact. Your work will not only challenge the limits of current technology but also pave the way for new industry standards.
 

In the role of R&D Engineer at JIACO Instruments, your work will be deeply rooted in research and the effective communication of your findings by writing scientific papers. You'll be tasked with exploring the frontiers of microelectronics, material science, and chemistry, uncovering insights that can drive innovation. You design your own experiments and enjoy executing the test after reflecting the the team. Equally important will be your ability to document the outcome. Your written work, from detailed project reports to contributions for industry publications, will not only record your progress but also lay the groundwork for future advancements. This role is ideal for those who appreciate the dual importance of discovery and the precise sharing of knowledge.
 

As an R&D Engineer at JIACO Instruments, expect to spend 10-15% of your time engaging globally traveling to collaborate, attend key conferences, and visit leading research facilities. Your role in bringing global insights back to JIACO is crucial for maintaining our industry leadership.

Your role comes with a competitive salary of €5,000 - €6,000 per month, reflecting the significance of your contributions. Additionally, you'll be eligible for an innovative profit-sharing scheme, based on company performance. What will you do?
  • Engage in Pioneering Research: Initiate and drive research projects in fields like microelectronics, material science, and chemistry to discover innovative solutions. Work closely with Jiaqi, our CTO, to ensure your innovative projects align with our business goals and contribute to creating market movement.
  • Conduct Experiments: Independently carry out experiments, analyze results meticulously, and use this data to inform your project development.
  • Design Novel Products: Conceptualize and refine new technologies with the potential to revolutionize the semiconductor industry.
  • Document Your Work: Clearly record your methodologies and results, preparing comprehensive reports and contributing to publications that solidify our industry presence.
  • Travel and Collaborate: Embark on international travel to collaborate with industry leaders, attend conferences, and bring back insights to enrich our R&D initiatives.
 

Required Skills & Experience
  • You have a Master's degree in Microelectronics, Material Science, or Chemistry.
  • You have 3-8 years of experience in the industry, with a preference for those who have demonstrated innovative thinking in equipment development in plasma etching for semiconductor industry
  • You are profoundly independent, capable of spearheading projects with minimal supervision, and resilient in the face of experimental challenges.
  • You possess the creativity and dedication necessary to develop novel solutions and the strategic insight to understand their market implications.
  • You are an effective communicator, capable of articulating complex ideas and results in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • You are more focused and thoroughly committed to the experimental process, from conception to execution.
