Mechanical Design Engineer | Engineering Eindhoven

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at ALTEN you employ your knowledge of advanced mechanics and design in high-tech machineplatforms.

In this role you complement the team with your knowledge in the field of mechanical design. You work on projects in a multidisciplinary team and you can communicate well at different levels (and with international colleagues). You keep an eye on manufacturability during the design and apply construction principles.

Projects
As a mechanical design engineer you are responsibile for the entire mechanical aspect of the machine.
Your responsibilities could encompass various tasks, such as designing the machine’s architecture, creating detailed 3D models using CAD software (Solidworks, Inventor, Siemens NX, etc.), coordinating with our software and electronics teams, and collaborating with external suppliers when necessary.
We value your expertise in high-tech mechanical engineering, which will be instrumental in successfully tackling the unique challenges posed by any project. Depending on your experience and expertise, you will also have the opportunity to actively engage with clients, establish requirements, and drive improvements, contributing to the overall success of the project.

Education

• You have a completed education at HBO/WO level Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar.

You have experience with and knowledge of:

• 3D design;
• The CAD packages SolidWorks, Siemens NX or Creo.

Optional
It is not a requirement, but you have an advantage if you:

• Have knowledge of DFM, DFA and DFS;
• Have creative problem solving abilities;
• Have experience with working in multidiscpinairy teams;
• Have knowledge of FEM analysis;
• Have experience with the V-model, Agile, Project Management etc.
