We are looking for an E&I Lead Designer to create detailed design drawings and schematics for electrical and instrumentation systems for offshore energy projects.

Tasks & responsibilities: 

• Design and develop detailed E&I drawings and schematics for offshore energy projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards. 
• Lead and coordinate the E&I design team, overseeing the work to ensure quality and adherence to timelines. 
• Collaborate with engineers and other project team members to integrate E&I designs with other project components and systems effectively. 
• Use advanced CAD software and tools to create accurate and detailed design documents, including writing diagrams, layout plans, and control systems schematics. 
• Review and interpret technical specifications, requirements, and regulations to ensure E&I designs comply with all relevant standards and safety guidelines. 
• Participate in project meetings, providing E&I design insights and updates to project managers, engineers, and stakeholders. 
• Manage the E&I design documentation, ensuring all drawings and schematics are up to date, properly stored, and easily accessible. 
• Address and resolve design challenges by applying innovative solutions and best practices in E&I design. 
• Mentor junior designers and drafters, providing guidance and support to develop their skills and knowledge in E&I design. 
• Stay ahead of the latest trends and advancements in E&I design technologies and methodologies, incorporating them into design practices to enhance project outcomes. 

Gevraagd

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical field. 
• 3-5 years of experience in E&I design within the offshore energy sector, demonstrating a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficient in using CAD software and tools specific to electrical and instrumentation design, such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar. 
• Deep understanding of electrical and instrumentation standards, codes, and practices relevant to the offshore industry.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing or leading a team of designers and drafters. 
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and effectively convey design concepts. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of addressing design challenges with innovative solutions. 
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate design documents. 
• Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines. 
• Willingness to keep up with the technological advancements and software updates in the field of E&I design. 
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus but not mandatory, with an openness to learn the language.
