Our team 
Our head office in Rotterdam is a lively environment where we work with about 150 people and about 30 different nationalities. Our Group IT function is a team of about 50 colleagues. We support the business functions in their IT needs, from internally hosted and supported applications to cloud applications integrated in our network. We work together as one with our business unit IT teams to provide an integrated IT service catalogue. As we believe in customer centricity, our Business Unit IT teams are based in the countries we do business in. Due to our growth, and the importance of the projects we are looking for our new:

IT Project Manager

The Group IT function consists of several teams. As project manager you are part of the IT Portfolio and Project Management team and are a direct report to the head of this team. One of the interesting parts of this role is that you have the entire responsibility and, in a sense, ‘own the project’ from an IT perspective; from the earliest concept to the implementation.   

Our application landscape is predominantly SAP. Most of our business change initiatives require SAP expertise to define and implement changes. Our project managers are not expected to be specialists in SAP. However, it is important to have a general understanding of SAP, and you need to be interested to further develop your knowledge of SAP. 

Your role
 

• You are a project manager and responsible for one or more challenging IT projects;
• You can manage a (large) project team with interdisciplinary expertise and languages (20-100 FTE);
• You are responsible for the project charter, project results and you manage project scope, expectations and governance;
• You are responsible for the projects from the idea, concept phase, up to the final implementation phase;
• You are the first point of contact for the principals (budget owners) and pro-actively give your advice;
• You can communicate, advise and align with (C-level) stakeholders on the scope, approach, planning and resourcing of a project;
• You can grasp the business requirements and channel them into a project charter;
• You can communicate and align on work packages with (external) experts, and service providers.

Your profile

• You have a Bachelor or Master degree in IT, Engineering & Technology, Business Economics / Administration, or other relevant study;
• You have at least 5 years of working experience as a project manager managing large interdisciplinary teams (20-100 FTE) in different geographies and languages;  
• You have experience at working with senior management;
• You have strong knowledge of SAP and have an interest to develop this knowledge further;
• You are entrepreneurial, have strong communications and people management skills and love a challenge;
• You flourish in a dynamic, fast paced and continuously changing environment;
• You are agile, adaptable, able to think outside the box and able to find solutions for various challenges;
• You have an excellent command of the English language (both in speech as in writing) and command two additional European languages.
