Role Description:
As a Chemical Hazard Specialist, you will be a key contributor to multiple projects centered around the evaluation and validation of novel chemical compounds. Your principal duties will revolve around examining diverse facets including safety, usability, and ecological ramifications, in accordance with defined criteria. Your tasks will entail inputting this crucial data into the company’s databases.
Responsibilities:

• Handling information about substances in the EHS substance database, which includes adding, changing, and confirming data.
• In charge of categorizing mixtures of substances, including waste, and confirming how proprietary and vendor substances are classified.
• Reviewing hazard labels and recognizing substances that have legal restrictions.
• Making sure that laws and rules about dangerous substances are followed.
• You will inform stakeholders about updates in substance risk data, procedures, documents, labels, and regulations.

Requirements:

• Skillful in utilizing SAP and Excel for managing substances.
• Familiarity with calculation guidelines in the CLP and understanding of applicable legal standards.
• Knowledgeable about different chemical laws and regulations like REACH, CLP, PGS-15, ADR, and others.
• Basic grasp of the physical, chemical, and toxicological traits of substances.
• Strong communication abilities for interacting with different parties.
• 3-5 years of experience in the chemical management field.
