Restaurant Service Employee

What you'll be doing
Would you like to work as a service employee in a place where hospitality, quality and Zeeland fish cuisine come together? In this position, you make sure guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive. You will work in a lively location where a restaurant and fish shop operate side by side. The location attracts both regular customers from the region and tourists who come for fresh fish, a good lunch or an extensive dinner.

Every day is different: sometimes you will advise guests on their choice of dishes, while at other times you will serve food and drinks or make sure the restaurant looks its best.

As a service employee, you are the face of the restaurant. You take orders, serve food and drinks, stay in control during busy periods and make sure guests leave with a positive impression.

You will work closely with colleagues from the service team, kitchen and shop. This allows you to stay informed about what is happening in the restaurant and provide guests with the right information about dishes, fresh fish and special offers.

You will also help prepare the restaurant, keep your workplace clean and organized, and settle bills with guests.

The working environment is informal and friendly. There is plenty of work to do, but there is also time for a chat and a meal together during the day. You will join a team consisting of kitchen professionals, shop employees and customer service-oriented colleagues who work together to provide guests with a high level of service.

You'll receive

• Hourly wage from €18.50 gross
• Share in the distribution of tips proportionally to the number of hours worked
• Travel allowance
• Paid lunch break and a healthy daily meal at 16:30
• Available to work two to four days per week. Four-day working week with full-time hours. Prefer part-time work? This is of course also possible.

The ideal candidate

• Has an interest in the hospitality industry
• Speaks Dutch
• Has a practical and proactive approach to work
• Is customer-oriented and has good communication skills
• Is flexible with working hours, including evenings and one day during the weekend

Every day, the company works with fresh fish deliveries, including fish from the Oosterschelde, Grevelingen and the North Sea.
