Accounting ＆ Reporting Expert (IT Planning & Advice) Amsterdam

ING IT Planning & Adviceis looking for a Accounting ＆ Reporting Expertwho is motived and capable to create value to the finance organization, by providing pro-active analysis, advice and support on strategic, performance, risk and financial management related issues in combination with strong execution of the front-to-back management accounting process.

Your work environment

The IT Planning & Advice team consists of 5 Finance professionals, with focus on Global IT costs (Retail, Wholesale, corporate staff departments and CTO domains in NL) all with their own expertise. The team is part of the CFO COO/CTO.

Working in the team(s) requires interaction with many stakeholders internally (Finance IT spocs in countries, Group Finance, Retail Head Office, Finance controllers Tech).

Responsibilities

• Monthly Reporting to support business decisions (Monthly Global IT report, Sourcing Dashboards, FTE developments) in cooperation with the other members of IT Planning & Advice Team.
• Forecasting: provide analysis, preparing decision slides for MT CTO and ensure that all data is correctly captured in the Finance systems.
• Organising Quarterly country calls between CTO and local CIO/CFO for Retail locations including analysis on Forecast, dilemma’s and progress on the larger strategic IT initiatives (like private cloud, public cloud, Platform engineering)
• Maintaining data set with financial data of NL CTO domains combined with financial data from global management accounting system (MASS) to run seamlessly monthly reports on the available data dimensions (Actuals, Rolling Forecast, Dynamic Plan)
• Delivering input for Monthly Performance Reviews by MT CTO to be uploaded in central PowerBI
• Support on communication and reporting of CTO charges to ING units as outcome of the annual DP process in PowerBI
• Co- coordinates larger strategic IT projects for Retail and WB countries (new initiatives, benefit tracking and cost measurements).
• Linking pin between Head Office and Finance IT departments in Retail organization
• Advises/sparring partner for Retail CIO on Finance related matters
• Operational excellence: Focus on continuous improvements and look for efficiencies in our processes.
• Advises on the set-up and management of relevant MA processes, execution and maintenance procedures or measures.

Furthermore, you have:

• Current residency in the Netherlands
• 5+ years’ experience in IT and/or banking and a proven business partner. Develop and maintain networks, building long-term relationships
• Strong quantitative background and excellent computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, PowerBi)
• Master in Finance (e.g. Economics or Business Administration)
• In depth knowledge of Finance systems (Mass/MISOB / HP Planning) is preffered.
• Experience in preparing and delivering management reporting with full P&L scope.
• Coaches colleagues on content regarding composing of business cases, reporting and forecasts.
• Solid problem analysis and judgment skills, capable to make complex analyses, and bringing this back to advices for management
• Initiative; creates opportunities and openings, the use of deep dives to get an idea of the future context
