Supply Planner

38 uur per week 

Weekly, more than 11 million customers visit one of our 2300+ stores in Europe, and we regularly open new stores and distribution centers. It's a growing logistical challenge, requiring international collaboration to get over 6,000 products into the stores at the lowest price. From our international headquarters in North Holland, we continue to make significant strides, providing ample opportunities for you as a supply planner. Read on!

These are your daily actions

You work at the heart of our logistical operation, ensuring smooth and optimal product availability in the correct distribution centers. Facing delivery issues? You address them with local and international suppliers, commercial planners, buyers, and logistics experts. As a supply planner: 

  • You plan and monitor the inventory of your product group, such as household, toys, or garden.
  • You're responsible for the forecast and parameters in the system, ensuring they align with the KPIs. If something seems off, you engage the appropriate channels to proactively address it.
  • You monitor inbound deliveries for timeliness and completeness.
  • You hold periodic meetings with suppliers and colleagues to improve internal inventory and item availability. 
  • You create shipping plans for direct-import items and match them with the appropriate hub or cross-dock location. 
  • You're the expert in planning and assist your colleagues with planning processes and systems. You also participate in projects and propose process improvements.

The numerous contacts with suppliers and internal stakeholders make your work challenging and diverse. And the best part? Alongside your colleagues, you bring a smile to our customers' faces. Not only by surprising them with more than they expect but also by making sustainable products affordable and accessible to everyone.
 

This will be your team

Our planning department consists of over 35 planners. Direct Import focuses on products from the Far East. We collaborate extensively with the purchasing department, commercial planning, transport, and inbound. There's never a dull moment at Action. Looking for something new? You're an expert in planning. If you see that work can be simpler or more effective, you're eager to make it happen. You also easily switch between detailed assortment planning and a bird's-eye view. Others describe you as organized, flexible, and resilient. Thanks to your structured approach, you can handle rapidly changing priorities and time pressure. Teamwork makes the dream work, so you enjoy collaborating with your colleagues. By maintaining close communication with your stakeholders, you achieve your availability and inventory goals.

Furthermore:

  • You have a bachelor's degree, preferably in supply chain. 
  • You have at least 1 year of work experience in a similar role. 
  • You have an affinity for numbers and data. 
  • You have a good command of the English language. 
  • You're proficient in Excel. 
  • You have an advantage if you have knowledge of SAP or forecasting and replenishment systems.
