Here's how you will make a difference

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Strategy (Learning Team Lead)
  • Foster a shared purpose and space for learning within the team.
  • Take the lead in disseminating and continuously improving our Digital Society School Playbook;
  • Co-create Design Challenges with partners, and clients and centres of expertise;
  • Onboard 40-50 international trainees into our programme per semester;
  • Build strategic partnerships for our leadership programme;
  • Empower team collaboration through project management and coordination;
  • Ensure continuous improvement of processes and products;
  • Mentor individual team members, prioritize team initiatives, and represent in management meetings;
  • Disseminate knowledge and foster collaboration across the wider DSS;
  • Align educational methodologies and vision with the educationalists of the Faculty of Digital Media and Creative Industries.
  • Oversee and share responsibilities for DSS’s main products: 1. Trainee program (DTIP), 2. Leadership programme (TLP) and 3. Project challenges (Partner projects).

Project Management of semester challenges

  • Ensure connection and communication between the learning programmes to protect processes and outcomes.
  • Develop partnerships and engage stakeholders from industry and society.
  • Lead the learning team to deliver, monitor, and track semester challenges.
  • Support the team to recruit trainees, transformation owners, and partners for semester challenges.
  • Coach trainee teams and transformation leaders on how to deliver semester partner challenges effectively.
  • Collaborate in developing lifelong learning programmes offered by DSS.

Your other perks

  • The choice to work full-time, part-time or in the evenings. This is ideal if you want to combine this job with for example a job in (the world of) business.
  • A gross monthly salary between € 4.234,28 to € 5.936,77 (Hay profile Projectmanager 4 and Salary Scale 11 of the higher education collective labour agreement), with a full-time appointment and depends on education and experience.
  • A year-end allowance of 8.3% and a holiday allowance of 8% of your gross annual salary.
  • 428 holiday hours per year with a 40-hour working week.
  • Entitlement to various types of leave, such as (un)paid parental leave, care leave, adoption and foster care leave and various other arrangements.
  • A travel allowance for your commute, an NS-Business Card, your own AUAS bicycle or a tax incentive to purchase your own bicycle. If you are unable to use personal or public transport to travel to work, e.g. because of a disability, we will look at other possibilities together.

What you bring to the table

Required skills:

  • Multidisciplinary background spanning sciences, technology, arts, and humanities.
  • Academic education and relevant experience in organising autonomous teams and projects.
  • Ability to scout opportunities, bring in partners, formalise agreements, and monitor project success.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Dutch.
  • Experience in designing learning experiences and developing courses.

Nice to Have:

  • Background in innovation, service/UX design, and/or customer research;
  • Consultancy or agency setting experience;
  • Experience working with governmental or public institutions;
  • Experience in Life sciences & Health, Energy Transition, or Fashion Technology.

About the Learning Team at DSS

The learning team at DSS designs and delivers learning experiences. At the core are the 7-10 transformation challenges per semester. During each semester, trainees, transformation leaders, and partners undergo interdependent learning experiences coordinated and overseen by the learning team that consists of learning experience experts, producers and coordinators.
