Your role

i3D.net is one of the biggest game server providers in the Benelux. We combine great online user experiences with high-performances and low-latency. As gaming veterans, we know what it takes for a network to withstand heavy demands and what we need to serve 1 billion users by 2025. As a Senior Back-end Developer PHP, you’re part of this process.

You’ll be responsible for the development of our game hosting platform. With your teammates you translate complex functional requirements and features into a technical design or architecture. You make sure there’s an effective collaboration between the team and other departments, so everything runs as smoothly as possible and everyone reaches their sprint goal on time. You also improve the overall software development and work on challenging projects like building advanced dashboards (based on huge amounts of data) and deploying game servers worldwide in only a few minutes. Together with the rest of the Development team, the UX designer and the product owner you define the technical solutions to these challenges.

Besides that, you like coaching and assisting junior and mid-level colleagues.

Your profile

Our Agile Development teams are self-organizing, so it’s essential that you're a great team player with good communication and coordination skills. You know everything about the Agile mindset and enjoy taking responsibility. We are continuously looking for ways to improve processes in our business and therefore expect you to take initiative and propose new ideas. On top of that, you have a passion for PHP and follow the latest developments in your expertise.

As a Senior Back-end Developer PHP, you have the next skills and experiences:

• At least 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with PHP frameworks such as Phalcon, Laravel and/or Symphony
• Experience with Microservices architecture and preferably with design patterns involved in this
• Experience with OOP and RESTful API interfaces
• Knowledge of GIT workflows

We intensively use Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ and Docker. So it’s a big plus if you have experience with these. It’s also nice to have experience with Kubernetes, writing unit tests, TDD and CI/CD.
